GDPR is coming. Are your Microsoft Excel spreadsheets ready?
The General Data Protection Regulation goes into effect on May 25, and it promises to dramatically redefine how companies handle the data privacy of European Union customers. But it will also apply to any companies that do business with EU citizens, even if the businesses are located outside Europe.
The penalties for GDPR non-compliance are stiff: Companies can be fined as much as 4% of their global annual turnover, or €20M, whichever is greater. And Microsoft Excel data can be particularly problematic for those who need to comply with GDPR.
If your company uses Excel, has a presence online and collects personal data from customers, then our new guide, GDPR and Excel: What You Need to Know, can help.
In this eBook, you’ll learn:
- Rights of data subjects
- Requirements for businesses
- Complying with GDPR
- Excel and GDPR
